Captura Solar was founded in 2019 by Agustin “Gus,” Abalo, a seasoned renewable energy industry veteran with more than ten years of experience in solar development, project acquisition, deal origination, and management.
As a developer, Gus was responsible for green-fielding the broadest portfolio of SREC 1 projects in Massachusetts’ first solar program (42-MW DC out of 400-MW DC).
In his latest role at Cypress Creek Renewables, he was involved in transactions totaling hundreds of megawatts in the distributed generation space with a combined CAPEX in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
